[Animator vs Animation III]

An Awesome Finale

What a great ending to a memorable series. This installment is my personal favourite. The frame by frame animation is solid and some of the effects, such as the fire, are astounding. You've done a good job putting this together and it has been great watching it. The ideas with you come up with for how these characters will react to the Windows desktop and apps is very clever and often humourous. The choice of sound effects is done just right and it all works smoothly. You've left the series on a high note.

What I dislike is watching some scenes and feeling like you could have done something better than what ends up happening. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes I just feel like something else would have worked out better. This isn't really your fault and could happen with any flash. Another small problem is that the art isn't complicated. You're just using stick dudes and they're rather easy to animate. You have certainly done it well though and of course you wouldn't stray from the original installments and go without stick dudes. It just wouldn't feel the same anyway. Overall, this is an incredible accomplishment and I have really enjoyed watching this along with the rest of the series.

Alright

This was very interesting and unique. I like that you've done something rather new, even if you may have been inspired by a similar artist. I personally haven't even heard of the artist you mentioned. Some of the art is very well done here. The way you just poured what you were feeling on to this is admirable and it's something a lot of people can't do well. You've even included a few humourous parts. I was thoroughly entertained.

What this could have used was perhaps a bit more time. Although there was some great art, in other sections of the flash it was lacking. Some parts seemed to have rushed art and it seemed you couldn't think of ideas for a few parts and what you included in those parts was a bit boring. Just a still image with lines animating from it wasn't the greatest decision. Maybe if there was more animation in each part instead of just drawing a still image I would have enjoyed it more. You've still done a great job and you should be proud of it.

Decent Job

You've done a good job animating, especially at 12 frames per second. I couldn't believe it when I saw the specs at the end because most animation looks quite bad at this setting. I did chuckle a couple times, but for the most part I didn't find it incredibly funny. The flash is original and I appreciate you not taking all of your ideas from other sources except yourself. You did throw in some references to pop culture, like the hairflip, and you pulled that off successfully.

I didn't laugh at the main joke of the flash and that brings it down for me. There wasn't really enough humour for me to personally enjoy it. I think you would benefit from working at a higher frame rate, changing up the stage size to widescreen, and perhaps asking some of the wonderful voice actors on Newgrounds for some voice acting help. The voice acting in this flash wasn't as enthusiastic as I felt it should be. Another issue I had was the art being very bland. It didn't have a lot of detail and although you may have put lots of effort into it, I felt it didn't show. You've got some talent, but this doesn't live up to its potential.

Very Well Done

Your take on this theme was excellent. I love your ideas and your creative ability. The animation was very well done, showing off in the action scenes of the flash. I found it very funny and I'm normally not fond of parodies. You managed to make me laugh and forced me to watch it again to see the short, but great, action sequences. The voices were fitting and well done. I wish you luck in TOFA and hope you go far. You deserve to do well with your talent.

One of my problems is that some of the animation isn't very smooth. It's a bit jittery at some points, but it is still incredible for the amount of time you were given. The other problem I had was the music. Although this is meant to be a trailer for an action movie, I felt the music near the end wasn't very fitting and wasn't in my taste. However, I can push those things aside and still enjoy this flash multiple times.

Well Done

Your animation continues to be wonderful and I can see in the small details like shading and shadowing that you are a great artist. The voice acting was well above average and the humour was intact. I got a decent laugh out of this, but the animation backs that up quite a bit. I hope you do well inthe Tournament of Flash Animators as I have continued to enjoy your incredible talent. I really admire your ability to make such wonderful work in the limited time you're given with the tournament.

My biggest problem with the flash is that the "divide by zero" joke is really overdone at this point. I realize the theme wasn't your decision, but that still brings the flash down even if you aren't at fault. The only other gripe I have is the background art being very plain and not up to par with the rest of the art. It's not a big problem and I understand you were a bit rushed for time, but it would definitely improve the quality of the flash.

Well done for what it is

The art and animation in this flash is great, as I would expect from RicePirate and FrozenFire. The voice acting was good and the rest of the audio was good quality as well. It was entertaining overall and it deserves an above average score and a spot on the front page. I like how you guys poked fun at these overused memes and popular internet icons by overusing them yourselves. It really made for a humourous flash for someone like me who deals with these memes online every day.

It being short definitely made sense, you couldn't drag this on much longer, but that left me wanting more and I didn't like that feeling. Maybe if it had been a bit longer I would have enjoyed it more. I also wish you would put your comedic talent and time to better use and show some more creativity. It wasn't one of the funniest flashes I have seen recently, but I guess it gets the point across and is rather enjoyable to watch.

No comedy exists here...

Everything looked pretty good. I liked the art and some of the animation, besides the lip syncing. I think you could have improved that a bit. My main problem is that this had nothing about it that made me laugh. Batman's face looked pretty funny, but the "joke" in your animation wasn't funny at all.

You're a good animator, but maybe you should leave the writing to someone else.

Good Effort..

There are parts I liked and others I didn't... Your animation was decent and really good in some of the scenes. The music fit with what was going on, and that always adds to a movie. You've put out a lot of effort and the flash is in good length because of this.

The art wasn't always good, but my main issue is that the dialogue was bad, and the voices were atrocious. They ruined the experience. I'm sorry, but next time you NEED to find new voice actors. They are holding you back from having something really good here. It's good, but I know it could be better.

Wow. I Am Amazed.

First off, your animation is amazing. I see worse animation on television. The voices are incredible, as well as the music. The writing is good, as well as the comedy. It's just so well done. One of the best flash movies on Newgrounds!

The only thing I disliked is that there is no pause / play button. Other than that, this flash is solid gold!

Interesting, but not enough.

I liked what you did with the audio. It's a pretty cool to watch.

What I don't like, is how there isn't much animation. I'm a bit tired of seeing flash movies with just text getting away with high scores. I've also seen this type of flash before. It's nothing very original, but I like the sound you used in yours compared to some others.

Overall, it's above average. I enjoyed watching it.
